Wherever you would call...

I don't know about you, but I LOVE the song Oceans by Hillsong. I realize this song is a tad "old-hat" now, but this song helped me through a very tough time in my life. I love the message of the song, the passion in the song and it's a great sounding song! There are some really great lines in this song, "...Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders...Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander, where my faith would be made stronger," to name a couple. I really, really like this song.
There is one line in the song that stood out to me this morning when I was listening to it. "...Wherever you would call me." Where am I called? Where are you called? Maybe you're like me and the answer to that question has always had an answer of, "somewhere else." That one day you will be called to do something other than what you're doing now. And you're always consumed with what's next, or what is coming down the road? While that is ok to think of, what if your calling is where you are right now? Because it may just be. You may aspire to do great things and have a ministry or organization of your own one day, which is awesome! In the meantime, however, focus on where you are. The bible says that if you are faithful with little, God will give you much. If you are faithful with another man's, God will give you your own. And lastly we are to do everything as unto the Lord. So treat your current role as your calling. God never forgets where you are. Other people might, but God NEVER does.
Afterall, He took care of a dude in a Lions den, a guy behind a winepress, a few dead people. If He can do it for them, I'm sure he can do it for you. So make sure to treat what you have now like it's very important.
