"The greats weren't great because at birth they could paint, the greats were great because they paint a lot." - Ben Haggerty
What a great quote! You may be more familiar with Ben Haggerty as Macklemore. As in the guy that sings, rather, raps Thrift Shop & Can't Hold Us. Anyhow, I love this line of his. Too often people view someone as extremely gifted from birth. Natural, raw talent. And while there are people like this, there are also people that work for it. You see there's another great quote that I would throw in with the aforementioned, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." In case you forgot, Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. But he worked extremely hard to become the greatest NBA player of all time. So who are you going to be, the person that begrudges their "lack of talent," or the person that works hard and becomes one of the greats?
